August 11, 2008 POTTSBORO - Services for Russell C. Pearson, 49-year-old Pottsboro resident, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 11 at Georgetown Baptist Church in Pottsboro with the Rev. Bobby Hancock officiating. Mr. Pearson died Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at his residence. Burial will follow at Georgetown Cemetery. Mr. Pearson was born on Jan. 13, 1959 in Denison, son of James and Lewanna Hardenburg Pearson and attended Pottsboro Schools. He married Blenda Davidson on Aug. 29, 1991 in Sherman. He was a Baptist and worked in concrete construction. Pallbearers will be Dennis Hulsey, Billy Hulsey, Cody Kirkland, David Cassell, Allen Pearson and Bob Pearson. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Summers, Landon Summers, Eric Pearson, Mike Tadlock, Jason Pearson and Greg Pearson. Surviving are his wife, Blenda Davidson Pearson of Sherman; mother, Lewanna Pearson of Pottsboro; daughter, Courtney Summers and her husband, Michael of Sherman; brother, Rick Pearson of Pottsboro; sister, Teresa Kirkland of Pottsboro; grandchild, Landon Summers of Sherman; nephews, Eric Pearson and Cody Kirkland; niece, Heather Pearson; sisters-in-law, Rose Tadlock and her husband, Mike, Shirley Davidson, Theresa Torres and her husband, Sandy. There are several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Pearson; and mother-in-law, Peggy Davidson. The family will receive friends at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel from 4 -5 p.m. Sunday.
