The Denison Press Monday, February 6, 1939 Charles E. Hale Succumbs Sunday Charles E. Hale, 48, farmer and a resident of route two, Pottsboro, for 44 years, died Sunday monring at 8:10 in a local hospital following an illness of nine days. He was born 14 October 1890 in White county, Tenn., the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Hale. Coming to Texas at the age of six with his parents, he was reared and educated at Pottsboro. He married Miss Ruby Payne of Denison, Nov. 17, 1910. Funderal services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at Short-Murray chapel, and interment will follow in Georgetown cemetery. Surviving are two sons, Willie and Edward of Los Angeles; two daughters, Mrs. Edgel Clements and Miss Lois Hale of Pottsboro; two brothers, Horace of Pottsobor and Bob of Denison; a sister, Mrs. Braxton Blankenship of Sherman, and one grandchilld. Hale, 48, a farm and resident of Pottsboro 44 years who died at a hospital here Sunday, were held this afternoon at 2:30 from the Pottsboro Baptist church with Rev. J.E. Dinwiddie officiating assisted by Rev. G. Wal, both of Pottsboro. Interment was at Georgetown cemetery, Short-Murray directing. Pallbearers were Cecil McKinney, Sam Guilloud, Ben Perdue, Arthur Shapp, Dan Russell and Carl Fink.
