JOE COOK
Pottsboro - Joe Cook, 80, died in a Denison hospital Saturday after a long illness.  Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Bratcher Funeral Chapel in Denison with burial in Georgetown cemetery, Rev. A.D. Campbell and Rev. C.E. Graves officiating.
Cook was born September 16, 1884 in McGregory and was married July 27, 1909 to Miss Minnie Lois Arnold in Coryell County.  He was a retired farmer who had lived in Pottsboro for 55 years.  He was a Methodist.
Survivors include his widow; two sons, W.L. of Holtville, Calif., and G.A. of Paris; one daughter, Mrs. Edith Tucker of Denison; one brother, George of Savoy; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the Bratcher funeral home Sunday from 8 to 9 p.m.

Pottsboro - Funeral for Mrs. Minnie L. Cook, 83, who died in a Fort Worth nursing home following a lengthy illness will be held today at 3 p.m. in Bratcher Chapel.  Ollie Duffield and Rev. Danny Wood will officiate. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery.
Mrs. Cook was born August 28, 1890 at Rich Hill, Mo.  She married Joe R. Cook July 27, 1909, at Meridian.  He died July 31, 1965.  She was a former resident of Pottsboro and a member of the Willow Springs Church of Christ.
Survivors are two sons, G.A. of Paris and W.L. of Holtville, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Edith Tucker, Fort Worth; ten grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are grandsons, Odis Monday, Bobby, Jimmy and Tommy Christman, Mike Renfro and Jim Wilson.
