 Margaret Loretta Barnett 1935 - 2012 The Herald Democrat January 15, 2012 Margaret Loretta "Elliot" Barnett, 75, passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2012 at Texoma Medical center. Mrs. Barnettwas born March 22, 1935 in St. Joseph, Mo. She graduated from Lafayette High School. Mrs. Barnett was a member of the Ashland Avenue Methodist Church in St. Joseph, Mo. Mrs. Barnett owned Barnett Real Estate and Appraisal Company in St. Joseph, Mo., before relocating to Texas. In Texas she was a senior review appraiser, part time contract law instructor at college, and eventually became president of La Casa Del Soil condominiums for many years before recently retiring. She and her husband, Jerry, were very active participants at the Elks Lodge 238 in Pottsboro. On March 19, 1954 in St. Joseph she married Gerald L. "Jerry" Barnett. He preceded her in death in 2001. Mrs. Barnett was also preceded in death by her parents, Reed and Valeda Elliot; and her grandson Jeffery Worley. Mrs. Barnett is survived by sons Daniel Barnett and wife Kathi of Pottsboro and Timothy Barnett of St. Petersburg, Florida; her daughters Victoria Worley and Danita Polsley of Tampa, Florida; and four grandchildren - Megan Woods, Keila Worley, and Daniel II and Lee Worley; additional survivors include three great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel, Pottsboro, Texas at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery with Rev.
