June 20, 1934 - March 24, 2011 Lucy J. (Lou) Brown, 76, entered into the arms of Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Trinity Nursing Home in Round Rock, Texas. Visitation will be 3-4 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro chapel. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Monday March 28, 2011 at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel with Reverend Thomas Beall officiating. Burial will follow in Georgetown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Hargrove, Jerry Miller, John Farris, Joe Murty, Jeremy Brown, Glen Brown and Jason Pearson. Lucy was born on June 20, 1934 in Earth, Texas, the daughter of Benjamin and Mattie Carnes Brown. She graduated in 1951 from Spring Lake High School in Spring Lake, Texas, and then attended Draughan Business College. She married David Weir in Lubbock, Texas in 1953; he died May 18, 1975. She married Ronald Brown in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on December 15, 1975; he died January 2, 2004. Mrs. Brown was co-owner of Weir Concrete Company and co-owner of BSI Boat Sales in Pottsboro. She was of the Baptist faith. After she retired, she was a volunteer for both Wilson N. Jones Hospital and Cedar Park Regional Medical Center Hospital. Lucy was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by Diane Williams of Ferris, Texas; Michelle Mutch of Cedar Park, Texas; Jack Brown of Katy, Texas; Ronald Brown of Houston, Texas; eleven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands and two brothers.
