  Mary Vera Rains 10 April 1942 - 25 December 2010   Phillip Gene Rains 4 June 1943 - 16 November 2004 Staff Sergeant US Air Force Vietnam The Herald Democrat December 29, 2010 POTTOSBORO - Graveside services for Mary Vera Rains, 68, of Pottsoboro will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 30, in Georgetown Cemetery. Deacon Gary Vogle will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. She died Saturday, December 25, 2010 in Red River Regional Hospital. Mrs. Rains was born April 10, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Robert and Marguerite Tinsley Willmering. She graduated from St. Alphonus High School in St. Louis, Mo. She married Phillip Rains on June 23, 1973 in St. Louis and he died November 16, 2004. She was a homemaker and a Catholic. Surviving are her brother, Tom Willmering of St. Charles, Mo.; Betty Atchison of Imperial, Mo.; mother-in-law, Melba Curry of Marshall; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill Schulte and Bob Willmering. Viewing will be held at the graveside service.
