JoAnn was filled with love for all of her family and was happiest when they were all together.  She graduated from Adamson High School, Oak Cliff, Texas in 1950.  She worked at Neiman Marcus in Dallas; she loved her job in jewelry and had great stories about time there and especially loved the Christmas season with all the beautiful window displays.
She was a licensed Nursing Home Administrator and worked at the Care Inn for many years.  Her greatest job was working at the Katy Hospital and if they had not closed the hospital, she would have stayed there till she died.  She never forgave them for demolishing the hospital.  She always spoke of that time with love and a smile on her face.  She was also a licensed cosmetologist.
JoAnn had many talents - singer, organist and pianist.  She playedthe organ for the Woodlawn Baptist Church and Faith Assembly of God.  Her greatest love was for God, family and friends; she never forgot a name.  Her time on earth was filled with love, kindness and laughter.  No matter how badly she felt, she could always laugh.
She will be missed by many but we know she is singing and playing the organ with the angel band in Heaven; and if you listen really hard, I believe you can hear her singing and laughing for no matter the pain she could always laugh.
Graveside service was held Wednesday afternoon, September 9, 2020 at Georgetown Cemetery with Rev. Robert Blincoe officiating in Pottsboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
