The Herald Democrat March 25, 2009 POTTSBORO - Linda Jane Fox, 68-year-old Pottsboro resident, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at Texoma Medical Center on Monday, March 23, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 26 at Georgetown Baptist Church in Pottsboro with the Rev. Bobby Hancock officiating. Burial will follow at Georgetown Cemetery. Mrs. Fox was born on April 28, 1940 in Dorchester, the daughter of Roy Ezra and Alsie Loretta Stroud Trammell. She graduated from Howe High School in Howe where she played basketball. She married Virgle Lee "Bobby" Fox on June 14, 1958 in Howe and he preceded her in death on Sept. 29 1996. Mrs. Fox worked for Texas Instruments and then worked alongside her husband in their construction business. Before her illness, she worked for F.H. Lannon at the Texoma Shirt & Cap Company in Pottsboro. Pallbearers will be Jay Pfeiffer, Kris Pfeiffer, Rick Hanning, Royce Hanning, Brad Griffith and Kenneth Peterman. Honorary pallbearer will be Bud Griffith. Surviving are her son, Tony Lyn Fox and Christa Scott of Pottsboro; daughters, Belinda Lea Setzer and husband Joe; Kelly Annette Little and husband Stacy, all of Pottsboro; brother, Jack Trammell and wife June of Van Alstyne; sisters, Jean Davidchik of Sherman, Gwen Thompson and husband Charles of Irving, and Mary Lou Hanning of Howe; grandchildren, Jeremy Brooks, Amanda Fox, Kristen and Matt Scherer, Dusty Setzer, Amber Scott and Allan Scott; great-grandchild, Bobby Joe Lee Setzer; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is also survived by her friend and companion, Ivan Palmer. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers-in-law, Price Hanning and Steve Davidchik. The family suggest memorials to the American Cancer Society, 8900 Carpenter Freeway, Dallas, TX 75247 or to the Georgetown Baptist Church Building Fund, 207 W. Georgetown Rd., Pottsboro, TX 75076. Visitation will be from 6 -8 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel. The family will be at the home of Stacy and Kelly Little, 5767 F.M. 996 West in Pottsboro. She was a loving mother and grandmother who always put Christ and others first.
