Stephen Randolph Turner 10 December 1969 - 24 June 1995 Corporal US Marine Corps Persian Gulf Sherman Democrat June 27, 1995 A6 POTTSBORO - Services for Stephen Randolph Turner, 25-year-old Pottsboro resident, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Georgetown Cemetery. He died Saturday, June 24, 1995 in Grayson County. The Rev. Brent Ferris will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman. Mr. Turner was born Dec. 10, 1969 in Camden, N.J., the son of Pat and Patricia Terry. He graduated from Sherman High School. On Dec. 11, 1993, he married Ruth Whitacre in Pottsboro. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and served during Desert Storm. He was employed in security at WalMart in Sherman and was also a member of the Pottsboro Reserve Police Department. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Pottsboro, Preston Community Church and a former member of the Texas State Guard. Pallbearers will be police officers and reserve officers from Pottsboro. Surviving are his wife of Pottsboro; son Dru Turner of Pottsboro; parents, Pat and Patricia Turner of Denison; brother Jim Terry of Denison; and grandparents, Ann Pryor of Joshua, Texas and Frank and Dottie Wings of Albany, Ore. The family will be at the Pat Terry residence, 23 MacArthur, in Denison.
