Richard Wayne Brown, 51-year-old Sherman resident, died Wednesday,
Jan. 28, 2009, after a brief illness. Arrangements are under the direction
of Dannel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Dannel Funeral
Home at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3, with Pastor Mike Crawford of Friendship
Church in Frisco officiating. Interment will follow at Georgetown Cemetery
in Pottsboro.
Visitation will be at Dannel Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 2, from
6 to 8 p.m.
Richard was born Sept. 17, 1957 in Stillwell, Okla., to Paul and
Geraldine Hill Brown. He attended school in Oklahoma and was employed by
Kwik Set for 18 years before becoming a paramedic. His interest in this
vocation began when he was a volunteer with Preston Volunteer Emergency
Services and was escalated while he was a CareFlight paramedic in Frisco.
He loved his job, his co-workers, his children, grandchildren, and the
love of his life, Anita.
Preceded in death by his father Paul Brown, a son, Michael Brown,
and brother Paul George Brown.
Richard is survived by his loving wife Anita,
whom he married Sept. 15, 2007.
Also surviving is his daughter Heidi Davis
and husband Michael of Pottsboro and Laura Brown, mother of Heidi; sons
by marriage Bruce Criswell of Sherman, Doug Criswell and wife Blythe of
Sherman, Lee Criswell and Christina of Sherman; mother Geraldine Brown
of Henderson; brothers Jack Brown and wife Tessie of Guam and Gerald Brown
of Henderson; grandchildren: Kristin Davis, Morgan Davis, Aaron Criswell,
Brice Criswell, Seth Criswell, and Shelby Criswell; and several aunts,
uncles, and cousins.

Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
Anita S. Brown, 61, of Sherman, died S u nday, November 8, 2015, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. Graveside services were held Thursday afternoon, November 12, 2015 at Georgetown Cemetery near Pottsb ro. Rev. Terry Brown, of Victory Life Church, Sherman, officiated.
Anita was born December 8, 1953 in Frankfort, Indian, daughter of William and Betty Altice Cunningham. She received her Associate's Degree from Grayson County College. She loved to knit and loved listening to music. She was also a lover of cats.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents and 2 husbands.
Anita is survived by her sons, Bruce Criswell of Corsicana; Doug Criswell and wife, Blythe, of Sherman; Lee Criswell and wife, Christina, of Anna; brother, Kevin Wright of Frankfort, Indiana; sister, Stacy Riley and husband, Pat, of Rock Hill, South Carolina and a host of friends.
