Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ray Short Thursday morning at the Short-Murray chapel with interment at Georgetown. Born July 17, 1867, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Burgess. She was a life long resident of Grayson county. She had been a member of the Baptist church 48 years. Surviving are 3 sons, Lawrence Brogdon of the Merchant Marines; Emmett of Seneca, Missouri; and Bill of Dallas. Daughters are Mrs. Mary Baker, Wichita, Kansas; Mrs. Dennie Bell, Lubbock, and Mrs. Beulah Mason, Denton; besides 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
