  Arnel W. Waldrop 1905 - 1995 Ruth Waldrop 1910 - 1977 Denison Herald May 5, 1995 Page 2 POTTSBORO - Graveside service for Arnel W. Waldrop, 90, of Pottsboro, who died May 3, 1995 at Care Inn Nursing Home, will be held at 5 p.m. today at Georgetown Cemetery. Dr. Boyd Sawyer will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral home. Waldrop was born Jan. 31, 1905 in Sadler, the son of Arthur Ernest and Cora Alice Phares Waldrop. He married Ruth Waldrop in June of 1930 in Durant. She died in 1977. He attended Pottsboro and Preston Bend Schools. He was a farmer. He was a member of Georgetown Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by a son, James Waldrop in 1985. Survivors include two sons, George Waldrop of Arlington and John Waldrop of Pottsboro; twin daughters, Janell Wright of Sherman and JoAnn Stanberry of Pottsboro; a brother, Franklin Waldrop of Denison; a sister, Alice Christman of Andrews; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
