Lucy B. Travis 1878 - 1954 Elisha L. Travis 1871 - 1944 The Denison Press Friday, March 12, 1954 pg. 3 Funeral services were held at Georgetown Monday for Mrs. Lucy Bell Travis, 75, of Pottsboro, who died at the home of a daughter in Denison Sunday after nine weeks of illness. Woodrow Allen officiated at the service and interment was in Georgetown Cemetery with Funderburk Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Travis was born in Kentucky November 6, 1878. She was a member of the Willow Springs Church of Christ. She is survived by two sons, Carl Travis, Pottsboro, and Roy Travis, Dallas; two daughters, Willie Montgomery, Denison, and Vera Griffin, Dallas; one brother, Dumas Heath, Paris; four sisters, Effie Hopkins, Vernon; Ches Blue and Winnie Davis, Denison; and Lula Dorsey, Durant; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers at the funeral were D.T. Owens, L.T. Cook, H.R. Ballow, B.H. Ballow, Jimmy Ballow, and J.C.Campbell.
