Shrum 1900 - 1950 The Denison Press Friday, October 20, 1950 pg. 2 Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Bratcher-Moore chapel for Robert Jackson Shrum, 49, who died in Whitesboro Thursday night. He had been ill for six months. Paul Wallace conducted the services and interment was in Georgetown Cemetery, with Bratcher-Moore in charge. Mr. Shrum was born in Cook County, December 30, 1900, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Shrum, He was educated in St. Jo, Texas and was married in 1924 to Miss Essie Ola Wilson in Dodson, Texas. He was engaged in farming. Survivors are his widow, his father, J.H. Shrum of Gainesville; two sons, Robert Shrum, Wichita Falls, and Sidney Shrum, Whitesboro; three brothers, J.H. Shrum and A.V. Shrum of Denton, and W.O. Shrum of Abilene.
