DENISON - Robert Guy Griffith, Jr., 34, went home to be
with the Lord Monday, March 1, 2010 at Texoma Medical Center. Robert was born June 8, 1975, in Sherman the son of Robert Guy Griffith,
Sr. and Carol Griffith Walker. He graduated from Palestine High School.
Robert was a man with many talents. He could do plumbing, electrical,
heating and air conditioning work, but he was most proud of being a dad.
Family was a very important part of his life. Especially his children,
they were his life. He loved and cherished his time with all of them. Robert is survived by his parents, Robert and wife Julie Griffith,
Sr. of Centerpoint; Carol and husband Tim Walker of Denison; four
beautiful children, Brianna Griffith, Robert William Griffith, Conner Quinley
Griffith, and Sydney Van Derpool; grandmother JoAnn Parent of Georgetown;
sister, Christina Moser and husband Robert of Palestine; brother, Jason
Griffith and wife Elizabeth of Denison; sister Melissa Riley and husband
Brian of Celeste; and brother Bryan Walker of Celeste.; seven nieces and
nephews and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents,
Hattie Lee Griffith, Robert Lee Griffith (Survivor of USS Indianapolis)
and P.E. Parent who had served in the Korean Conflict. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2010 at
Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor James Keeton officiating. Interment
will follow at Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro.
Pallbearers will be Lee Griffith, Chad Yandell, Steve Peables, Jason
Pederson, Little Ronnie Conary and Scott Shimer. Honorary
pallbearers will be Roger Cook, Glenn "Punkin" Peables, Jacob Thompson,
Jeremy Thompson, Roger Wade and Lennie Roan and Ryan Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor for his children
to Fisher Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, located
at 604 W. Main in Denison.
