Cowherd 27 February 1870 - 30 August 1943  Children: Sallie Goode Cowherd Brown (1892 - 1989) Linnie Frances Cowherd Hodges (1895 - 1956) William Bryan Cowherd (1896 - 1961) John Stiver Cowherd (1899 - 1976) Anna Penn Cowherd (1902 - 1983) Margaret Katherine Cowherd Owens (1905 - 1997) The Denison Press Friday, September 3, 1943 pg. 5 Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Pottsboto Methodist church for Mrs. Mollie Beth Cowherd, 73, followed by interment at Georgetown. She had resided at 901 W. Nelson and had been ill for the past four months. Born February 27, 1870, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Goode. She was married December 2, 1890 at Pottsboro. Her schooling was received in Pottsboro. She had resided in Grayson county all her life and had been a member of the Methodist church since 1905. Surviving are three sons, W.B., J.S. and Harold Cowherd, all of this city. Daughters are Mrs. Roy Hodges, Childress; Mrs. A.S. Brown, Pottsboro; and Mrs. O.T. Owens and Miss Anna Cowherd, both of Denison. A sister, Mrs. E.D. Macready, lives at Durant, and 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren also survive.
