  Denison - Effie Lee Jones, 83, passed away at Denison Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, January 24, 2019. She was born on July 11, 1935, daughter of Jacob Springer "Jake" and Audrey Maurine Brooks. She attended Sherman schools for 11 years and obtained her G.E.D. Effie married Billy Bass Jones July 20, 1953 in Durant, Oklahoma. She retired in 1992 from Texas Instruments from the line making bomb components. She is of the Baptist faith. Effie was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Robert Bill Jones. She is survived by her husband of Denison; 2 sons, Frank Jones and Johnny Jones; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-granddaughters. Graveside services were held Monday aftermoon, January 27, 2019 in Georgetown Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Hancock officiated. Arrangements were under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. - - - Johnson-Moore Funeral Home   Billy Bass "Bill" Jones, 88, of Denison, Texas, passed away September 22, 2021 at his residence. Bill was born May 28, 1933 to Robert Bascum "Bass" Jones and Mary Ozelle Layton Jones. He attended Pottsboro and Denison schools. Bill grew up working cattle and horses with his father and continued as a rancher and farmer throughout his life. Bill married the love of his life, Effie Lee Hall, July 20, 1953 in Durant, Oklahoma; they were married for 66 years. He joined the military in 1953 and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War and later stationed in El Paso, Texas where he was part of the military police. Bill always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Edward Jones; his parents; his wife; and his son, Robert Bill Jones. He is survived by 2 sons, Frank Jones of Pottsboro, and Johnny Jones of Sherman; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held Monday morning, September 27, 2021 at Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro.
