Thursday, July 3, 1924 pg. 1 COMPLETE LIST OF TEACHERS ANNOUNCED The following is a list of teachers elected for the grammar school and high school of this city, and the places each will fill as given to The Sun by Superintendent Durham: Grammar School Miss Gertrude Schooling, 1st grade Miss Kate Fulton, 1st grade Miss Mae Hall, 2nd grade Mrs. Annabel Finnell, 2nd grade Miss Oneida Copeland, 3rd grade Miss Sallie Hamilton, overflow grade Miss Geneva Gouge, 4th grade Miss Mildred Cantrell, 5th grade, departmental Mr. Hayden Hamilton, 6th grade, departmental Miss Susie Noe, principal, 7th grade, departmental High School Mr. Frederic Tacquard, principal, mathematics Miss Christine Stuckey, English Miss Estelle Montgomery, science and languages Miss Laura Price, home economics Agricultural teacher and coach to be selected H.L. Durham, superintendent Miss Catherine Porter, history Miss Tommie Chenoweth and Mrs. Annette Harp will teach music in the two schools, and Mrs. Mary Ryon will teach expression and physical education. H.J. Kirkpatrick will be principal of the Negro school; his assistant has not be selected. The New Teachers Miss Sallie Hamilton, 2nd year standing, Abilene Christian college; 5 years experience Miss Geneva Gouge, senior, North Texas State Teachers' College; 4 years experience Miss Mildred Cantrell, sophomore standing, North Texas State Teachers' College; 3 years experience Mr. Hayden Hamilton, freshman, East Texas State Teachers' College; 5 years experience Mr. Frederic Tacquard, A.B.U. of Texas; graduate student, U. of Texas; 3 years experience Miss Christine Stuckey, A.B., Texas Women's College; graduate student, University of Texas; 1 year's experience Miss Laura Price, A.B., C.I.A.; one year's experience Miss Catherine Porter, A.B., C.I.A.; no teaching experience Misses Kate Fulton and Mae Hall, teachers in the grammar school, left Tuesday for Denton, where they will take special work in the North Texas State Teachers' College.
