Walton Elementary School Day Street at Perry Denison, Texas  Editor's Note: The article goes
on to describe the school as a small two-room wooden building with one
teacher, three grades, and "very few pupils." It concludes with the
sentence, "The building is not serviceable for a schoolhouse." That
assessment may have spurred the school board to build a new Walton
School in southwest Denison sometime in 1922.
