B.
W. Glasgow, principal of the Sherman High School, was born in South
Carolina. He graduated from Davidson College in North Carolina and came
to Texas in 1891. Since that time he has been superintendent of the
schools at Coleman and Cisco, and for three years taught Latin in the
public high school at Waco. He came to Sherman January, 1899, and was
elected principal of the Sherman High School, the position that he has
since held with ability. Glasgow has in this charge ..... students daily, and he exercises such influence over them that their conduct will compare favorably with that of any other like body of students possibly in the State. Mr. Glasgow is an educator of ability and merit; he is an earnest worker and gives the best effort of his life to the work he has undertaken. He has given satisfaction with his work and should he remain with the school for some years to come he will undoubtedly raise the standard as an institution of learning. Mr. Glasgow, a young man, a close and ardent student, and in the short time he has been connected with the public schools of Sherman he has given every evidence that the public could wish of his gifts and accomplishments as an instructor of ability.
