The Bearcat Band is one of the organizations which we could not do without.  It really puts "pep" into the student body to hear the band play at the pep rallies in the chapel and at the games.  The special in some of the pieces are especially well received by out-of-town people as well as people of our own town.  The value of the band can not be overestimated.  It was a big help to the Pep Squad in the stands at the games and also to them in their drills on the field.

The student body as a whole is very appreciative of the band and its efforts, and takes this means of thanking the band members and their splendid and untiring leader, Mr. Shell.
