the way, I don't know if you or many people know that the school colors
of Van Alstyne Panthers used to be purple & white.
Leroy Bledsoe is the last known classmate of that time and he
confirms the original school colors. It seems that when some
letter jackets came back one year, they were more blue than purple and
that is when the change to blue & white started happening.
My mother's scrapbook has the purple colors all through it.
She was also a cheerleader."
