  A.C. Wallace Superintendent 1950s Alvin Clyde Wallace was born in 1914 and died in 1987 in Archer City, Texas.
On a school trip to the State Fair of Texas, he stood in front of the buses and gave the famous speech to all about the time the bus would be leaving that afternoon and that if we weren't there, we would be left...then his son David was one of the ones that was not at the bus; we left without him, but the bus also left without Mr. Wallace and some of the high school boys who had to stay behind to find the "lost" boys.
