PILOT GROVE SCHOOL
Pilot Grove High School is progressing nicely under the leadership of of our efficient principal, Prof. Maxey, who is proving himself to be a live wire.  Our school building is undergoing some marvelous changes, and ye, who in days past and gone, received, a part at least, of your educataion within its walls, should now note the improvements which are being made, oiled floors, neatly varnished desks, everything clean and sanitary.  Each of our 3 teachers are striving to make Pilot Grove high school a success.
On Friday night, November 12, our patrons and friends of the school enjoyed a free graphonola concert, after which Prof. Maxey made a brief,  but interesting talk on school work.  Then the doors were thrown open and everyone invited to pass into the adjoining room where refreshments of delicious punch and cake were served.
We would like to see everyone who is interested in education rally to the support of our teachers, for we know that if our patrons stand shoulder with the teachers, the pupils will also, and a pull, a long pull, a pull altogether will bring Pilot Grove up to a number one high school.
Let's pull.
