Thursday, February 8, 1962 pg. 1 SCHOLASTICS UP IN WHITEWRIGHT The scholastic census for Whitewright Independent School District was completed last week and shows a slight gain over the precedding year. Supt. S.T. Montgomery, Jr. said that 419 white children were enumerated this year, a gain of 11. Negro scholastic of 77 show a loss of 5. In the 1st grade next year will be 28 white children and 9 Negro children.
