Lamar Elementary School Denison, Texas  Lamar School 10 March 1925 1st grade class Back row, 4th from left : Richard Riggins  The 1925 Denison City Directory lists Bess Coppin as the principal at Lamar School. Teachers were Katherine Shipley, Gwendolyn Gafford, Blanche Gibson, Emile Davidson, Mary Garrett and Genevieve Wilson. One of them is probably the 1st grade teacher in the above photograph.
