Miss
Evoire Dillingham retired from the education field after a forty-eight
year career. Forty-three of those years were spent at Jefferson
School as a teacher and coach of football, baseball and track.
Under her leadership, Jefferson school became the first public school in Texas to install a cafeteria. She was also responsible for introducing the first physical education program in a Texas public school.
