Thursday, November 28, 1968 pg. 2 OUT OF THE PAST The Howe Bulldogs opened the 1940 football season here this afternoon with a 12-0 win over Sherman B team. The edition of the Bulldogs showed satisfactorily for the opening game, although numerous rought spots remain to be worked out. Penalties were numerous. Coach Cox started the following team: Jones and Coffey, ends Wilson and Speers, tackles Hedrick and Enloe, guards Thompson, center Sexton, Patterson, M.H.
