Greystone School was located three miles northeast of Sherman. It was named for the out-cropping of white or gray
stone in the area. The school district joined the Sherman District on the northeast. The school house was in the S. McGlothlin Survey No. 811 and located on the northwest corner of 112 acres owned by J. H. Orrell. The school closed in 1940. Remembering School Days edited by Jerry B. Lincecum and Peggy A.
