 The Denison Union Seminary was scheduled to open October 2, 1874 but a notice appeared in the October 2nd edition of the Denison Daily News stating
that the was not yet completed and that the school would open instead
on October 12, 1875, "no further postponement". Dr. Alex Morrison was President of the Board of Trustees and Dr. L.A. Washington was secretary.
