DORCHESTER REUNION HONORS SUPERINTENDENT
Approximately 150 people attended the Dorchester school Reunion, Sunday, August 19.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Tucker and daughter from Nebraska City, Nebraska came the fartherest distance.  Others attended from Dorchester, Sherman, Denison, Collinsville, Gunter, Howe, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Lubbock, Beaumont, Katy, Whitesboro, Ennis, and Van Alstyne; Boswell and Dewey, Oklahoma.
Honor guest for the occasion was Mr. Fred W. Hunter of Beaumont who was Superintendent of Dorchester School from 1927 to 1936.
Mr. E.M. Jackson of Dallas also attended.  Mr. Jackson was Superintendent from 1919 to 1922.
Seven former teachers were present, including:  Mrs. Cora Patterson Clark, Mrs. Josie Strawn Allen, Mrs. Gerthal Guin Tucker, Mrs. Minnie Ruth Ely Probst, Mrs. Annie Taylor Cummings, Mrs. Marguerite Ivy Anderson and Mrs. Vivian Bain Mackey.
Mrs. Eloise Holt Dean represented the graduating class of 1918 at which time there were 9 grades.
The graduating class of 1934 has the most in attendance with 5 of 7 being present.
Largest family representation was won by the Cavender and Clements families with 6 each.
Dinner music was presented by Benny Harmon of Dorchester at the organ.
Officers for the next reunion are Jimmy Savage, President; Mrs. Annie Taylor Cummings, Vice President; and Mrs. Wanda Cavender Moses, Secretary-Treasurer.
