  Single
women teachers of DHS faculty, 1958. They accounted for half of
the 18 female faculty members that year. A decade later,
according to the 1968 Yellow Jacket, the total number of women on the
faculty had increased to 31, but only 5 were single, and 4 of those
eventually married. The only single one was Miss Bledsoe, the
