Friday April 15, 1937 pg.1 CANAAN SCHOOL CLOSING EXERCISE On Wednesday, April 21, 7:45 p.m., the Canaan school pupils will present a program for the close of school. The program will consist of dialogues, readings, special songs, plays and other interesting numbers that will be very entertaining. On Thursday, April 22, 7:45 p.m., a play entitled "Two Days to Marry" will be presented at the Canaan school building, sponsored by Mr. W.W. Elrod. The play is full of thrills from start to finish. On Friday, April 23, 7:45 p.m., the 7th grade class of the Canaan school will present its graduation exercise. The salutatorian address will be given by Tommie Burchfield and the valedictorian address will be given by Dortha Hickson. Rev. G.B. Bradshaw of Whitewright will deliver the graduation address. After the address, diplomas will be presented to the class by the principal, W.W. Elrod.
