Calamus
School District #52 was located northwest of Bells. It was bounded on
the east and north by the Hebron district and on the south by Pink Hill.
The school building was in the J. Riley survey 995 in the northeast corner of the Lizzie D. McDowell place. It was a two-room building and taught grades one through eleven. The first building burned and was replaced by another two-room building. The last building was torn down and sold. Calamus School consolidated with Bells Independat Schools. Some teachers were:
