 Bethany
District 59 was located between Loving on the west, Thompsonville
on the south and Shannon Creek on the north. The school's name
comes from Bethany of the Bible where Lazarus, Martha and Mary lived. The original school building, that was torn down, was on a hill between two churches. A two-room building was later erected.
