Among our orders for job printing on Tuesday, we are pleased to notice a fine one from Prof. J.T. Ashcraft , the new principal of Bells High School.   The professor has lived one year in Texas, during which time he was engaged as teacher of applied mathematics and elocution in the Savoy Literary and Commercial College.   For the 5 years previous to this time he filled the position of principal of the Brundidge male and female high school of Brundidge, Alabama.
The following extracts from resolutions, passed by the patrons of this institution on the occasion of his tendering his resignation, will show the degree of satisfaction his efforts as an educator gave, and the exalted opinion they entertained for him as a gentleman:

Resolved, that the methods of instruction and discipline adopted by the principal have met with our most hardy approval.
Resolved, that we experience a feeling of deep personal bereavement at the departure of this gentleman from our community.
Resolved, that he carries with him our best wishes for success and still greater usefulness in his chosen calling as an educator, and we cheerfully commend him as a gentleman worthy of the confidence and esteem of the general public.
