She resigned her position in the Josephine school in Collin County, where she taught six years, to accept the Bells position. The Whitewright Sun Thursday, September 24, 1936 pg. 1 BELLS SCHOOL HAS 335 NOW ENROLLED Bells - A total of 335 pupils were enrolled in the Bells school when the second week of classwork got under way, it has been announced by W.M. Moulton, superintendent. Teachers report 130 enrolled at the high school. A new all-steel school bus is scheduled to arrive this week to replace one of the three now in use. Bus drivers, W.E. Sewell, Omer Wilson and Ray Rice, are bringing 139 pupils from rural districts. Forty-two pupils have enrolled in a typewriting course, the first to be offered in Bells High School. Miss Tommie Chenoweth, piano teacher; Mrs. Agnes Oliver, expression teacher; and George Dugan, orchestra leader, have their classes meet at a studio on the school grounds.
