McKinney Jul 25, 1918 pg. 3 ASA WALKER GOES OVER TOP IN SALVATION FUND W.D. Moore was here Saturday morning from the Asa Walker School District. The first of last week Superintendent W.S. Smith, county chairman of the Salvation War Relief Fund wrote Mr. Moore that his district’s quota to this fund was $60, and requested that he look after the raising of this fund. Mr. Moore went to work at once and brought with him Saturday the required amount, which he turned over to Superintendent Smith. The Asa Walker rural high school is one of the best in the county. The citizens of the district, Mr. Moore states, responded liberally to this fund.
