Thursday, May 10, 1956 pg. 1 ASA WALKER SCHOOL DISTRICT DISSOLVED The county school boards of Fannin, Collin and Grayson Counties met at McKinney Monday afternoon and divided the Asa Walker (Desert) school district between Trenton, Blue Ridge, Westminster, and Whitewright. No school has been taught at Asa Walker for two years, and under the Gilmer Aikin school law a dissolution of the school was mandatory. A surveyor will be employed to determine the metes and bounds of the districts as defined by the county boards.
