DENISON MUSIC LOVERS ENJOY RARE TREAT
The music lovers of Denison formed an appreciative audience at the XXI Club last night, when Miss Viola Beck and Mr. Curt Beck held their piano and violin recital.  Miss Viola Beck, who is well known in the city, having spent most of her life here, has studied in Berlin, where five years of training under Richard Burmeister has so perfected her own natural talent that she ranks with the best masters.  Burmeister, who is very proud of his accomplished pupil, urges her to go on the concert stage, where he rare ability, perfection of execution and wonderful technique will be greatly appreciated and sought after by the music-loving world at large.
Miss Beck now makes her home in Dallas, where she has been requested to play at the coming Saengerfest.
Miss Beck was forced again and again to respond to encores and when, after the close of the fifth number, the applause was too great to resist, the young musician responded by giving a selection from Chopin, which captured her audience.
Curt Beck, violinist, who as studied in Berlin for a number of years under the able and celebrated teachers, H. Vondomeck, Villie Hess and Andreas Moser of the Royal High School, has also gained great renown by his exquisite musical ability.  Denison is proud to number such an able musician among her citizens.  Mr. Beck, in the interest of Denison, is bringing to the city artists of note, in addition to Clarence Whitehill, who has appeared there are Miss Cordelia Lee, a violinist of note, and Ludwig Hess, tenor, who is considered one of the sweetest singers of Germany, and whom Mr. Beck has secured through the Schubert Club of Dallas.
Miss Irma Beck, who rendered the orchestra transcriptions, deserves special mention and praise for her execution.  She, too, has the wonderful musical ability of the talented family.
