The ex-Confederate vetarans of Grayson county completed their organization at Sherman on last Saturday, the 21st, by electing Judge J.H. Porter, president, Robt. Walker, secretary, and Dr. T.W. Wilson treasurer, and by appointing an executive committee composed of A. Fulton, chairman, A.R. Andrews, C.W. Batsell, Dick McKinney and M.L. Webster.  
A constitution and by-laws were adopted.

State News
Major T.T. Teale, President of the Texas Confederate Veteran Association, has called the reunion to meet at San Antonio August 16, 17, and 18.

The Grayson County Confederate Veterans' Association have decided to hold a three days' encampment in Sherman.  The time designated is September 5, 6, and 7.  There will be a pic-nic and basket dinner on the 5th and 6th and a barbecue on the 7th, to which all members of the G.A.R. will be invited to attend, and thus make it the occasion of fraternal union between the Blues and the Grays.
