Shiloh Church Tioga, Texas The
Shiloh Church was formed in 1873 under an oak tree on Sterling Cook's
farm. A building was constructed two miles east of the town on
the John Franklin Rogers homestead. Services were held
there for ten years, until 1883 when the church moved to Tioga. In 1884 the church's name was changed to the First Baptist Church of Tioga. T. W. Cotten wa the first pastor of Shiloh Church.
