St. Patrick's Catholic Church Denison, Texas Denison Daily Herald Monday, September 23, 1878 GOD'S TEMPLES Our Little Churches Around the Corner Amid the Whirl of Business are These Cherished St. Patraick's Catholic Church The present Catholic church was opened to Divine service in June 1873. It was then a modest chapel - a frame building, 50x25 feet. But the rapid increase in number of Catholic congregation soon necessitated a more ample accommodation and an addition of 54x25 feet was put up in 1876. The building has now the form of a Latin cross, the main body 75x25 and the two arms of the body 75x25 and the two arms of the cross 25x14, affording a seating capacity of 400 people.
