HERE OPENED BY INJUNCTION
There's mutiny in the ranks of the darky congregation of St. Paul Baptist Church here.  There has been a lock upon the door.
The trustees of the property, who haven't been able to go near the pulpit since August 18, went into 15th District Court in Sherman Saturday in an effort to get the door open - a temporary injunction restraining others from interfering.  The injunction was issued in time for last Sunday morning services.
The trustees, Arthur Gentry, Will Dooley and C.F. Ervin, named S.H. Hogan, Cal Mays, W.M. Jordan and Wilbert Owens as the defendants.
They alleged that the defendants have "at different times" been members of the church but that "none is at this time."  They also alleged the defendants had "maliciously and unlawfully" taken possession of the church, preventing members "and even the pastor there" from holding services.
A lock was placed upon the door.  The petition alleged that Hogan had declared he wanted "to see the man who will take the look off the door and open the church."  It futher alleges that Hogan stays there all of the time.
The plaintiffs feared that "serious trouble will ensue" unless the injunction was granted.
