Sister Grove Baptist Church Van Alstyne, Texas The Rev. Jim Hayes organized the
Sister Grove Baptist Church under the trees in the neighborhood of
Sister Grove, three miles northeast of Van Altyne, on February 12, 1870.
Early members were: John Yeury, Dan George, Giley Strickland.
