The church's original building was an old building that had been moved from the Jeff Scarbrough property east of Sandusky. This building was burned on the fourth Sunday in September 1889.

The congregation resolved to build another building. The dedicatory service for this new building was held on February 25, 1890.  At this time the final organization of the church was completed and recorded in the minutes of the Session Book. The ruling elders were G. W. Scarbrough and Henry Hodges. The pastor was C. B. Hodges, who was also moderator of the Session.

The third building was built in 1942 from materials salvaged from the old building and new materials donated by citizens of Sandusky. All the work was done by church members. While under construction, church services were held in the Sandusky school house, north of the church.

In 1963 the church building was torn down and a modern red brick building was erected. The building was larger and included an auditorium, choir and classrooms. Financial support for the new building came from donations from local citizens, Whitesboro citizens, and from pledges made by the church  members.  The new building was paid for at the time of the building dedication services.

The first church school program in the Sandy Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church was begun in 1895 and has continued to date.
