Sunday, September 16, 1894 pg. 5 LOCAL CONDENSATIONS Wednesday, September 12 - Contractor Ever, of this city, has closed a contract with the building committee for the erection of a Baptist church house at Oak Ridge, six miles east of the city. A force of men were put to work to-day making door and window frames for the new building. Contract price $1100 The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, October 21, 1894 pg. 1 At a meeting of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church, east of the city a few miles, held Wednesday evening, a committee of 3 was appointed to visit the Baptist church of Denison to-day, Sunday, at 11 o'clock and extend an invitation to the pastor, Mr. Pender, to go out to Oak Ridge, on the first Sunday in November and dedicate the new church building. An invitation will also be extended to the Denison church to go out in a body to the dedicatory services. Dinner will be spread on the grounds on the date indicated and another sermon will be delivered in the afternoon.
