Basin Springs Community
FIRSTS
- One of the first churches to serve the North Grayson County area.
- J. D. Elder was chosen as the first pastor on January 1, 1860.
- A revival service was conducted in October 1860.
- The first church building was built of hewn logs and measured 24' x 20'.
- A five-room parsonage was built next to the church in 1951.
