The Women's Missionary Society of the First United Methodist Church met Tuesday afternoon at the church.
Opening prayer was led by Mrs. Lawrence Smith which was followed by the song, "O, For A Thousand Tongues to Sing."
Mrs. Wade Neves presided over a business session when the members voted to recognized these new members:
Mrs. Lawrence Smith, Mrs. Jerry Ables, and Mrs. Fred Moore.  Mrs. Ables and Mrs. T.W. Knox were appointed to renovate the church nursery.  Also appointed as a committee were Mrs. Smith, Mrs. O.B. Dualney and Mrs. Ables to investigate
the purchase of a new piano for the Fellowship Hall.
Mrs. J.C. Neely led the lesson, "American Indian, A Forgotten Minority," and was assisted by Mrs. Ralph Duncan, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Joe Washburn, Mrs. Knox and Mrs. Leta McElligott.  The worship table was laid in a white linen cloth with a display of Indian artifacts and a placard inscribed, "Where the need is - - we will go."
The group sang in unison and closed with the W.S.C.S. benediction.
Hostesses: Mrs. Duncan and Mrs. Washburn served coffee, punch and cookies to ten members present.
