June 25, 1972 MINISTER - Rev. M. Daugherty, a minister of the Methodist Church, was born September 29, 1824, in Wayne County, New York. He was educated in Albion College, Michigan, and was at one time presiding elder of the Albion District. He came to Texas in 1875 to escape the effects of catarrhal throat difficulty and found complete relief. He was for 3 years pastor of the M.E. Church, during which time he succeeded in building the new brick church. In 1878 he was appointed presiding elder of the San Antonio District.
